- Simple and intuitive operation directly from a mobile app or by entering an access code on the keypad.
- Access via a SerosBox is extremely versatile with access code restrictions by hour, by day, and by date – for durations up to 29 months.
- Self-guided tours are more secure and safer with a digital lockbox.
- SerosBoxes can be shackle mounted and effortlessly moved from one home to the next. Or remove the shackle, insert the shackle plugs, and mount the SerosBox for permanent usage at one location.
The SerosBox was built to stand up against brute force entry attempts. Furthermore, SerosBox technology leverages a supply chain with deep experience in US-based deadbolts and smartlocks.
SerosBox is IP55 water resistant. It is rated to operate in both hot and cold climates and is factory-tested to withstand conditions as cold as -31ºF (-35ºC) or as warm as 140ºF.
Yes! SerosBoxes are built with an IP55 rating. The device is very reliable, even when exposed to open rainfall as long as certain conditions are met:
- Hang or mount the SerosBox upright. (Placing the device on its back, keypad up, in extended period rainfall could lead to water intrusion.)
- When mounting the SerosBox to a surface, always remove the shackle and insert the waterproof plugs at the top of the SerosBox.
- Do not leave the SerosBox key compartment open in rainfall. The SerosBox is rateed IP55 when closed, not when open. Nonetheless, momentarily accessing and then closing the key compartment in the rain is just fine.
With three alkaline AA batteries, a SerosBox will last around one year under a normal usage scenario.
SerosBox will alert the user when the batteries are running low. The alert is enabled when around 22% of battery life remains. With low batteries, it will continue to lock and unlock. When in use it will flash red 6 times to alert you about the low batteries.
The SerosBox includes a USB Type C port at the right-hand side of the door. When the batteries have run out, just plug in any battery pack to open the SerosBox. (A completely discharged SerosBox may take a few minutes to charge, depending on the USB C charger being used.)
Keypad Access Codes
Access codes generated from the SerosAccess Mobile App are usable immediately — no physical proximity to the lock required.
SerosBox supports the following types of access codes:
- One-time code: Valid for a single use within six hours of the selected start date and time.
- Hour code: Provides unlimited access for 1–12 hours from the selected start date and time.
- Multi-Day code: Allows unlimited access across any range of consecutive dates, including dates far into the future. Ideal for residents, as the code can match the length of a lease. (Must be used on the first calendar day of its access window or it must be regenerated.)
- Vacation Rental code: Similar to Multi-Day Codes but includes specific check-in (1–4 pm) and check-out (10 am–12 pm) time windows. (Must also be used on the first day of its access window or must be regenerated.)
- Fixed Access codes: Custom 4–10 digit permanent codes for trusted individuals (such as listing agents or maintenance staff). These must be programmed via the SerosAccess app while physically near the box and cannot be set remotely. A notes field in the app helps track who has each code.
- Clear code: A remotely generated code that, when physically entered on the lock, removes all active duration codes — including any Hourly, Multi-Day or Vacation Rental codes.
At this time, a single code cannot be assigned to multiple SerosBoxes simultaneously. For multi-property access, use the SerosAccess mobile app for Bluetooth unlocks.
Bluetooth Access
SerosBoxes can be unlocked via Bluetooth directly through the SerosAccess mobile app when you are within range (max 20′).
